The F1 Grand Prix has been a celebrated tradition worldwide for numerous years, featuring multiple events annually that offer fans the chance to experience adrenaline-packed races while cheering for their favourite drivers.

Each race, known as a Grand Prix, takes place in stunning locations worldwide. The 2024 season is set to make history with 24 Grand Prix events, the most ever in a single season.

Why Miami?

Miami embodies a cultural mosaic, reflecting the vibrancy of South America while serving as a global hotspot for the affluent, the glamorous, the driven, and those who cherish liberty above all else. These attributes make it the ideal setting for an F1 weekend.

The 2024 Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix marked its third edition, exceeding expectations with a spectacle that was grander, livelier, and more thrilling than ever before.

While the Sunday race took the spotlight as the main event, numerous activities took place amidst the F1 excitement. The race itself offered its own entertainment at the Hard Rock Beach Club, featuring prime trackside viewing, several bar areas, and exclusive access to live performances by world-renowned artists throughout the race weekend. The line-up includes performers such as Steve Aoki, Ed Sheeran, Don Omar, John Summit, and Kaskade. Accompanying this were numerous after-parties and pre-events scattered throughout Miami’s vibrant party scene.

The Race

The race saw intense competition in the first 20 laps as the 20 drivers sped through the Hard Rock Stadium for the top spot. Max Verstappen a known F1 driver, led the pack into Turn 1 at the race's outset, but despite his early lead, the Red Bull driver and three-time world champion ultimately finished in second place behind McLaren's driver Lando Norris. As the race progressed, Norris and Verstappen managed to distance themselves from the rest of the field.

Despite Verstappen's attempts to overtake, Norris successfully defended his position as the race leader. With a comfortable lead of 4.9 seconds with 10 laps remaining, Norris extended his advantage to 5.9 seconds in the final five laps. Norris secured his first Grand Prix victory although starting in fifth place he continued to display a flawless performance.

In the battle for second place, Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz initially surpassed Charles Leclerc. However, Perez locked up and avoided colliding with his teammate Verstappen, enabling Leclerc to reclaim the position in the process. Unfortunately, Leclerc slipped back to third place, securing the final spot on the podium.

Midway through the race during lap 29, drama ensued as Kevin Magnussen and Logan Sargeant collided in a tight battle, causing Sargeant to hit the barriers and prompting the deployment of a Safety Car. This strategic moment in the race allowed McLaren's Lando Norris to make a pit stop and maintain his lead.
